Normally one solves this by installing the (recommended by MS) Media Feature Pack, but this installs also all that other stuff (media player stuff and apps) converting the N in the normal edition, which kills the whole reason of having N in the first place. Looking into, I found that this was due to the Microsoft-Windows-Portable-Devices-Package missing when using the N edition.
